Classroom Supply Fund
Every classroom teacher is allocated a standard amount each year from TSD#401 for the purchase of classroom materials. Unfortunately, this amount is rarely enough to sustain a teacher throughout the entire school year. Often, in our Spring grant cycle, we will receive proposals from teachers that have used all of their classroom budget but have materials they want to purchase for upcoming curriculum projects. For this reason, we offer students, families and community members the opportunity to supplement this budget through our Classroom Supply Fund.



The first week of May is always the National Teacher Appreciation Week, a program initiated by the National PTA. We use this time to ask for donations as a means of demonstrating our appreciation for the wonderful work of all teachers in TSD#401. Throughout the week, we invite people to donate knowing that 100% of those dollars will be divided equally across every classroom teacher and distributed at the beginning of the next school year.

New Teacher Fund
To get a classroom ready for students takes a lot of time and materials. The New Teacher Fund is a program that welcomes a newly-hired teacher to the school district by providing a $50 voucher for the purchase of needed materials. Teachers can decide what materials are most important for their classroom and students. This voucher must be used within their first year of teaching. We hope this will be the start of a long-lasting relationship between teachers and TVEF.
