KINDERGARTEN PLAYSCAPES
In 2008, the district's Kindergarten program was moved into a new building, previously used for middle and high school students. This posed a number of challenges to retrofit the environment for smaller students, accommodating both learning and play. Thanks to a generous grant from the Teton Springs Foundation, we have worked with the Teton Kindergarten Center to:
- Build a mixed natural and traditional play area for children
- Provide classroom improvements and retrofits, including interactive whiteboards and bulletin boards in each classroom as well as appropriately-sized chairs and tables
- Purchase indoor PE equipment for the Kindergarten students to use in the gym
- Fully stock the Kindergarten Library with age appropriate books, seating areas and electronic distribution system
