From the Founder: Lori Kramer

I believe educating our children is making an investment in our future… one of the best investments we can make.

Public schools in Idaho are underfunded. I founded Teton Valley Education Foundation to help TSD#401 offset the costs of providing a 21st century education. Some of the very first purchases the Foundation made were for new computers to replace computers that were over 10 years old and on the brink of failure.

Over the first five years we quickly grew beyond funding some of the technology needs of the district. Today, we have an active volunteer program to get the community involved, assist in health screenings, sponsor environmental excursions, and so much more! I’m so proud to have played a small part in these projects.

We are so lucky to have many talented and dedicated teachers. It was my hope, when this organization started and still today, to alleviate the financial burden associated with public education, even just a little, and let the teachers focus on what’s most important – educating our children, our future.

I have great confidence this organization will continue to grow and flourish and our children will be the direct beneficiaries of our labors and investment.
